For those of you who don’t know, the F-22 is only the baddest (by bad, I mean AWESOME) plane to be created by man. It cruises at supersonic speeds, is virtually undetectable by radar, missiles appear from hidden compartments, and is extremely maneuverable.

But here’s the problem. They’re not practical. The F-22 concept was created when the Soviet Union was a threat, when there was a chance that we’d actually be fighting people with decent technology.

But for the last few decades, we’ve been kicking the shit out of Third World armies who must rely on guerrilla warfare to fight effectively at all.

What good is being undetectable on radar if the people we are fighting most likely have no clue what a radar is?

Okay, those Third World countries aren’t THAT backward, but you get the picture.

So now one crashes in the desert … just like that, $140 million just gets soaked up by the sands of the Mojave.

What the f&*(!?

Let’s cut the production of F-22’s, already. Let’s start spending money on ways to effectively fight and counter guerilla warfare.

Guerrilla warfare can only be won two ways. You either win the hearts and minds of the locals; or you completely wipe them out.

When we realistically have an enemy that is technologically advanced, then lets start rolling out the Raptors on the assemblyline again. But for now, we have more then enough.

Let’s focus on public relations in our wartorn battle zones. That’s how we’re going to win.
